This past weekend my WWOOF hosts took Jessica and myself to the Chalet they own for a weekend getaway. Their Chalet, a wood cabin, is about two hours southwest from their home in Marcellaz, France. The cabin, 150 + years old, is in the heart of the French alps, right near Mount Blanc, the tallest mountain in the entire Alps. (15,781 feet) Both Switzerland and Italy are only within a few miles from Mount Blanc.
I wanted to share a sunset that I got to witness from upon their porch.
It is worth the share, so enjoy!!
This shot has the sun still perched high above the mountains.
It is peacefully setting over the ski slopes, wood cabins and mountains.
I’m enjoying some French Expresso as I emerge myself into the show.
I love the planes soaring through, must be a hell of a view from within the plane.
A few close ups of the sun hovering over the Alps.
……….
…love these close ups….
Almost my favorite…
I went down to get a better view, if that’s possible.
A view from the ground..
That purple glow is fascinating.
The most beautiful sunset I’ve ever seen. By far.
Gorgeous, I must admit.
My favorite, the shimmer of oranges bleeding into the blues is breathtaking.
Gorgeous!
